Thai COVID-19 Cohort Study – CMU Household Study
Study profileDescription
The Thai COVID-19 Cohort Study – CMU Household is conducted in Chiang Mai, Thailand and led by Chiang Mai University. It builds upon the RECoVER household study from the Netherlands. Adapted to the Thai context, it aims to improve understanding of SARS-CoV-2 variant transmission dynamics within households, with a particular focus on transmission involving children. Data collection includes rapid diagnostic test (RDT) results, nasopharyngeal and throat swabs, and plasma samples. Household members record daily symptoms via an app or phone calls over a 21-day follow-up period.
Countries involved: Thailand
Sample size: 93 households
